Flamenco Rising is built by two women who know this world from the inside.
María created Acepados Cortijo Boutique, the estate where the retreat takes place. After years of welcoming guests from around the world, she wanted to build a retreat entirely her own — which is what led her to Daliris.
Daliris is the founder and director of Talento, her flamenco tablao and school in Seville, where she has spent her career teaching flamenco as something to be lived, not performed.
Together, they built Flamenco Rising around what each of them does best.
01. The essence
Flamenco Rising is an intimate retreat for women who want to experience flamenco from the inside.
Not as a show.
Not as a technique to master.
But as a living cultural language, expressed through rhythm, movement and shared time.
Here, flamenco is not learned for later.
It is lived fully, in the moment.
The experience combines embodied practice, culture, rest and pleasure — designed to be intense, human and memorable, without the pressure of performance or progression.
FOR WHOM
Flamenco Rising is created for women who:
- are curious about culture lived from the inside
- enjoy moving their bodies without needing to perform
- value intimacy, comfort and quality
- are drawn to experiences rather than instruction
- want to return home with memories, not homework
No previous dance or flamenco experience is required.
02. The Rhythm
5 nights / 6 days
The days unfold with a natural rhythm:
- mornings dedicated to compás, body awareness and movement
- generous pauses for rest, conversation or solitude
- late afternoon sessions rooted in rhythm and expression
- evenings that naturally slow down into shared meals and calm
There is no final performance.
What happens stays lived, not displayed.
THE GUIDES
The retreat is held by women deeply connected to flamenco culture, led by Daliris and her team from Talento, her flamenco school in Seville:
- dance guides who work from rhythm rather than choreography
- a compás keeper, holding structure and pulse
- a flamenco voice (cante) present as lived expression
- a cultural host, providing context and grounding
- a kitchen presence, where flamenco enters daily life naturally
They do not perform.
They guide, hold and accompany.
03. The Place
Flamenco Rising takes place at Acepados, a private countryside estate located approximately one hour from Seville.
The estate is defined by silence, privacy and uninterrupted time — conditions that allow focus, rest and embodied work to happen naturally.
Acepados is not a venue designed for events.
It is a place that holds the experience, without distractions or external noise.
